Defining “How to do Architecture” in the enterprise is the preliminary phase. There are two main aspects to the phase which includes determining the architectural capabilities the organization has; and launch the organization, processes, artifacts that will form and guide architecture work.

The focus of the architectural elements of this phase is to establish:

  • The maturity of current architecture practice and framework in the organization
  • The capability of the organization and IT from a Governance perspective.
  • Architecture Principles

Deliverables:

  • Architecture maturity review
  • Architecture scope and blueprinting
  • Confirm architecture governance and support strategy
  • Identify and establish architecture principles
  • Identify architecture tools
  • Tailor the architecture framework to the organisations requirements
